“The Boys Next Door” is a touching comedy about four men living in a group home.
Arnold who is both neurotic and naive, sees every minor event as a major crisis. He continually threatens to move to Russia (by train). |     |

|     |
Lucien is a large and sweet man who has a heart as big as he is. Mentally retarded, he is no further advanced than a five year old. |
|
Norman is also mentally retarded and works in a donut shop. His world revolves around three things: donuts, a large set of keys that he carries everywhere, and his girlfriend Sheila. Norman and Sheila attend weekly dances and dream of getting married.

|     | Barry is schizophrenic and from an abusive family. He has deluded himself into believing that he is a golf pro. |
|
Jack, the boys caretaker, is caring and compassionate but bordering on the edge of burnout.

|
| The play is interspersed with both hilariously comedic and deeply touching moments while giving a glimpse into the lives of “The Boys Next Door”. |
